Another notable feat in the history of Indian cinema comes to the legendary maestro Ilayaraja. The multilingual music director Ilayaraja is scoring music for his 1000th film of national award winning director Bala.

The maestro one and only Ilayaraja commenced his career from ‘Annakili’ in 1970s and he is a nonstop genius in music. The film based on Karagaattam has plenty of scope for music.

Bala director of Sethu, Nanda, Pithamagan, Maayavi, Naan Kaduval, Avan Ivan, Paradesi, Pisaasu, Chandi Veeran is taking up Tharai  Thappattai that happens to be the 1000th film music direction of Ilayaraja.

 Actor Sarath Kumar daughter Varalakshmi who starred with Kichcha Sudeep in ‘Manikya’ with Ranya as another heroine is the luckiest actress today. She is the heroine of 1000th film music of Maestro Ilayaraja.

Sasikumar of many super hit films in Tamil is playing lead role in this film.

In Tamil cinema it was late Aachi Manorama who completed 1000 films in her long career as an actress.
